Thomas Tuchel has sided with Pep Guardiola after the Spaniard’s claims of media bias in favor of Liverpool.
Guardiola stated earlier this week that the majority of England and its media were hoping Liverpool would beat City in this season’s Premier League.
Ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final against Liverpool, Tuchel said: “I can understand why he has that feeling.”
“In general I would say it is hard to argue with him on it… There is huge sympathy for Liverpool in this country which is fair enough, they work hard.”
“Klopp is the master of being the underdog. He can talk to you about being the underdog against Villarreal. He can do this every time. This is part of where the sympathy comes…
“But we don’t need the sympathy tomorrow, we need the trophy.”
The Blues will take on Liverpool starting from 6:45 PM EAT in the FA Cup final.
