The 33rd African Cup of Nations (AFCON) going in Cameroon as Nigeria will be playing against Sudan today, at the Stade Roumde Adjia in Garou.
The Nigerian team defeated Egypt by 1-0 on Tuesday in the first half in the 30th minute by the strike of Kelechi Iheanacho.
Going by the past histories of Super Eagles with the Jediane Falcons, it has been mostly victorious for the Eagles who have been flying high above.
These victories were like a walkover to the Nigerian team because they had done their assignments and what is needed of them on the pitch.
Today is another opportunity to make it a walkover for the team to go past the group stage.
Getting a walkover comes at a cost, the strength and tactics must be employed to get it done.
The Jediane Falcons have over the years trying to work on their weaknesses to stop any team like Nigeria from thrashing them with ease.
Game over in the sense that when the Super Eagles fail to concentrate and give their best on the pitch, then, it will be a drawback to them qualifying past the group stage and emerging at the rounds of 16.
Earlier on, the Sudan team threatened that their determination not to fail will give them victory over the Super Eagles.
From the game the Sudan team had with Guinea-Bissau, they gave their all despite the draw. The goalkeeper gave a wonder save at the last minutes by saving a penalty awarded against them.
Super Eagles have to bring all that they have on the table to make them qualify.
This is a big struggle for the two teams.
The Nigerian Coach had announced that they will change the approach on how to play against the Sudanese so as avoid any unnecessary errors which may mar the team’s aim to clinch the title for the fourth time.
