The Gates Cambridge Scholarship Program was established in October 2000 as a result of the William and Melinda Gates Foundation’s US$ 210 million gift to the University of Cambridge, the biggest single gift ever made to a UK university.
By 2022, Gates Cambridge will grant 80 full-fee scholarships to deserving foreign students who wish to pursue a postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge full-time in any discipline. With 25 awards in the US round and 55 awards in the international round, almost two thirds of these prizes will be open to PhD candidates.

Gates The following advantages are given to the holder of a Cambridge Scholarship:
the composition for universities maintenance grant for a single student at the appropriate rate (£17,848 for 12 months at the rate of 2021–22; pro rata for courses less than 12 months) is for up to four years for Doctoral researchers.

Costs of immigration health surcharge and inbound visas
Depending on the length of your programme, you may be eligible for academic development grants ranging from £500 to £2,000 to help you attend conferences and courses.
Family allowance: £10,120 for a kid under one and £14,440 for a child under two (2021-22 rate). A partner is not given any funds.
