Former England and Southampton midfielder Matt Le Tissier has stepped down from the club’s role as ambassador following a controversial tweet.
Le Tissier seemed to spread conspiracy theories about Russia’s massacre of civilians in Bucha, Ukraine, in a tweet on Wednesday morning.
He seemed to suggest the media have lied about the gruesome scenes in the Eastern Europe country, leading to a backlash on social media.
