Everton will not sack manager Frank Lampard despite the club’s recent run of poor results.
Everton lost the third consecutive match against Burnley with reports emerging Lampard could be shown the door. However, the Toffees’ hierarchy does not believe sacking Lampard will improve their prospects of staying in the Premier League at this stage, despite the increasing threat of the club’s first relegation from the top flight in 71 years.
That is not to say Everton has decided to stick with Lampard until the end of the season, irrespective of results.
As reported by Sky Sports News, there is real concern about Everton’s predicament at the board level with the club having lost six of their last seven Premier League games.
Further reports had suggested that Everton’s majority shareholder, Farhad Moshiri, was on his way to Liverpool for talks with Lampard.
