Bruno Fernandes urges Man United teammates to raise standards

by Vibecity

Bruno Fernandes has urged his Manchester United mates to improve the club’s ‘standard’ following Saturday’s poor 1-1 draw with Leicester.
The Red Devils went down to Kelechi Iheanacho’s score in a pivotal encounter in their pursuit of Champions League qualifying until Fred equalized. They were relatively lucky to be spared by VAR when it appeared as though James Maddison had scored the winner.
United are sixth, three points behind Arsenal, who have played two less games heading into Monday’s encounter against Crystal Palace. Tottenham, another top-four candidate, may potentially pull away from Man United with a victory over Newcastle on Sunday.
“Everyone is disappointed,” he told MUTV.
“This result was not the result that we want but there is nothing we can do now.
“We have to look ahead to the next game and understand that the standard of this club has to be higher and better, and we know that we are capable of that.
“You have to think [about] winning every game we have going forward.
“But now, [we need to be] thinking about the next one and not rushing too much because we have to think game by game.”
United have won only one of their last four Premier League games, and they will be back in action next Saturday when they visit lowly Everton at Goodison Park.
