Spanish giants Barcelona are in ‘advanced talks’ over a deal to sign Marcos Alonso from Chelsea this summer.
Talks between Barcelona and Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso are at an advanced stage, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Alonso has reportedly expressed his intention to return to his native Spain, but the two clubs are yet to agree a deal.
Barcelona are said to be uninterested in paying a large fee as Alonso will have just one year remaining on his contract after the current season finishes.
Barcelona are also understood to have put a two-year deal with the option of a third on the table for Alonso’s teammate, Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
Thomas Tuchel admitted this week the Spain international may be thinking about bringing his time at Stamford Bridge to an end.
