Cameroon secured their place in Qatar later this year with a 124th-minute winner against Algeria, who were eliminated on the away goals rule.
A statement from the FAF reads: “FAF officially lodges an appeal with FIFA against the scandalous arbitration which distorted the result of the match.
“We are determined to use all the legally permitted votes to have their rights restored and to replay the match under conditions guaranteeing the honesty and partiality of the arbitration.”
But, Algeria are not the only national team unhappy with their elimination from the recent play-offs.

Egypt’s second game against Senegal was hampered by the deployment of laser pointers on the pitch, while Mohamed Salah and co. also suffered a cracked windscreen as supporters threw objects at the team bus upon its arrival at the stadium.
Salah was pelted with items and removed from the ground by security, while the Egypt FA reported that racist posters were also visible.
The Egyptian FA’s head, Gamal Allam, acknowledged that their protest to FIFA included a request for a rematch.
