It is a fully funded scholarship for international students at the University of Melbourne. Masters and PhD degrees can be pursued with these scholarships. In addition to tuition fees, these scholarships cover a travel allowance, a living allowance, and academic expenses in the amount of $31,200 per year.

Benefits of application
This Scholarship will provide the recipient with the following benefits:
- For students undertaking a Masters by Research degree, students will receive full fee offset for up to two years, and for students undertaking a PhD degree, full fee offset for up to four years.
- Masters students undertaking a Masters by Research degree or doctoral students undertaking a doctoral degree will receive a living allowance of $31,200 pro rata (2020 full-time study rate). Limited paid sick, maternity and parenting leaves may be included in the living allowance and may be indexed annually.
- Students moving from outside Australia can receive a relocation grant of $2000 or $3000 for moving from another state or territory.
- An Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership is available to international students who require a student visa to study in Australia.

- For students undertaking a Masters by Research degree, students will receive full fee offset for up to two years, and for students undertaking a PhD degree, full fee offset for up to four years.

In the event that you are a new student and you have applied for a graduate research course by the course’s application deadline, you will automatically be considered for the Graduate Research Scholarships.
It is imperative that you submit an online application form by 31 October if you have accepted an offer of a graduate research course and have deferred commencement to be reconsidered for a scholarship.
To be considered for a scholarship for the following academic year, you must submit an online application form by 31 October if you are enrolled in a graduate research course.

Candidate must fulfill all the requirements below to qualify for University of Melbourne Scholarships:
- English is required.
- World countries are eligible.
- The applicant must have applied to and met the university’s entry requirements to be admitted to the university for a PhD or master’s degree by research. The applicant must be enrolled in the university’s graduate research program.
