Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal would travel to Merseyside to face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Anfield.

The Gunners have been in quite a great run since losing 5-0 to Manchester City. The Gunners has since played eight premier league games, winning six of them and drawing two.

Their most impressive wins came against Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur. They put three goals past their North London rivals and two past the Foxes, but the game against Liverpool would be a different one and most certainly, it would be a very difficult one.

Liverpool are coming into the game after losing their first game of the Premier league season, following their 3-2 lose to West Ham United and would be looking to get back on track with a win against Arsenal. Arsenal themselves are full of confidence and would want to increase their momentum with a win at Anfield after securing a narrow 1-0 win over Watford in their last Premier league game.

This is how Arsenal can beat Liverpool tomorrow and what Mikel Arteta needs to do to achieve that.

1) Start with the right formation, tactics and players.

The first thing Arteta should get right tomorrow is the formation and the players to carry out his tactics and plans. The Spaniard would need to come up with the right formation to restrict Liverpool’s threat.

I would advice he continues playing the 4-4-1-1 formation that has been working wonders for him in Arsenal’s last few games. Aaron Ramsdale should start on goal, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Magalhaes and Kieran Tierney should start as the four defenders. In midfield, Bukayo Saka should play from the right and Emile Smith-Rowe from the left, Thomas Partey and Albert Sambi Lokonga should start at the middle of the park. Alexandre Lacazette should then play behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

2) Big Players should step up.

Big boys like Aubameyang and Lacazette would need to up their game if Arsenal would stand a chance of winning Liverpool at Anfield.

Aubameynag and Lacazette would need to be very clinical in front of goal, because any missed opportunity or chance could come back to hurt them.

Also, Thomas Partey will have boss the midfield and show once again why Arsenal paid Atletico Madrid a handsome fee to bring him from Spain to England.

3) Quick counter attacking football.

I expect Liverpool to always be with the ball, they would have possession advantage. If that becomes the case, the Gunners would need to put together some quick passes in order to break free and hit their opponents on the counter just like West Ham united did to them.

4) Defend as a unit.

While Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel and Tierney would need to be at their very best, other Arsenal players would need to offer support to them in other to prevent Liverpool from running rampant. The midfield must also be strong and should be ready to fight hard.
