The Nigerian star retained his spot in his team’s starting XI having established himself as a key figure in the squad paraded by Sergio Conceicao following his outstanding performance for the club in their previous game.

Zaidu Sanusi was at the heart of the defence line for the visitor but his efforts were not enough to seal the whole three points of the night for his team, but they were able to rescue a point that placed them at the second spot on the table.

The former Santa Clara star was strong defensively in the whole 90 minutes duration of the game with his physical, tactical and technical skills which aided his great influx of delivery.

The visitor opened the scoring sheet in the 6th minute of the game with a goal from Luis Diaz to make it one nil which was the only goal that separated the two sides going into the half time break.

The tempo of the game got tensed up in the second half as they both displayed some dazzling skills but none was able to found the back of the net until the 61st minute when the host got levelled with an own-goal scored by Chancel Mbemba, as he made it 1-1 after putting the ball into his own net.

After several attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the night, all proved abortive as it ended one all draw at full time thereby making it no victor no vanquished.

The result of the night for the Portuguese Primeira Liga giant has now placed them at the second spot on the table with 5 points in 4 games played and as such be hoping to be back to winning ways in their next fixture, so as to continue their pursuit in the competition
